Mr. Tom Spry is the President of Tom Spry Executive Search. He established his firm in 1999 to provide executive search services for companies in the Restaurant and Hospitality industries looking for Senior Leadership and board-level candidates. At that time, he also foresaw that companies in these industries needed to diversify their employee base. Mr. Spry has been successful in securing diverse candidates for companies in these industries ever since.

Mr. Spry held operations roles across early-stage, mid-market, and multinational organizations where he acquired his in-depth expertise in the Restaurant and Hospitality industries.  Furthermore, as an Executive Senior Partner for the Lucas Group, he established and developed its Restaurant and Hospitality Division in 1996.

Mr. Spry leverages and integrates cross-functional assets to create value for clients. He also identifies the specific talent required to enhance customer satisfaction, market share, revenues, and margins for clients. Mr. Spry applies a proprietary framework to his assignments. He thoroughly understands the Restaurant and Hospitality industries’ need for the talent required to win in the new digital marketplace. Mr. Spry has certainly surpassed his original mission, as attested by the multiple diverse candidates he has placed throughout the years.

Mr. Spry is passionate about serving the community. He co-founded the Sandy Feet Initiative which empowers siblings of children with special needs, disabilities, and chronic illnesses, and collaborates with the Rotary Club and other youth organizations.

Mr. Spry earned a B.A. from San Francisco State University where he serves on the Advisory Board of its School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
